Who are the Friends of the Baltics?
 

Friends of the Baltics (FOB), founded in 1996, is a non-profit, membership organization in the United States committed to fostering peace by working together in service, education, and advocacy for and with the Baltic Republics of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.


FOB provides: 
- a forum for the discussion of international issues and activities that affect Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, and promulgates an awareness of those issues and activities in the United States;
- an opportunity for peaceful political activity to support democracy in the Baltic Republics; and
- social contact and mutual support among the members of the Friends of the Baltics and those interested in the Baltic Republics.


FOB is one of 62 country-of-service affilitates of the National Peace Corps Association, which strives for a world in peace, shaped by understanding and tolerance.
